old year
well, it's that time of year again, folks. the old is fleeing away. or, should i say has almost vanished. it's amazing how fast it has gone. what i want to know is who stole the 123 days that made this past year seem like only 242 days. was it the grinch? no, he only stole christmas. was it some golf cart freak? nope, he only steals golf balls. was it the dude that cut you off the other day while driving to the store? nope, he only stole a happy moment. so, who is it? or, did anyone steal anything. i mean, somebody did! it has to be. there is no other logical answer. i mean, i was talking to my neighbor and he made a ridiculous statement about it having something to do with getting older. get thee behind me, satan! can't buy that. older! forget it. or is it like that person at the hardware store mumbled, "i'm so busy i loose track of not only days, but months and years. well, folks, whatever it is, the year was still 365 days, 876,000 hours, 52,560,000 minutes, or 3,153,600,000 seconds long (ok for you scientists, i may be a few seconds off). it didn't change. we did. we changed greatly. and aren't you glad that that change for old to new and bad to good hasn't gone - it's coming with us. because God used the bad to build good and the old to bring new. and fortunately, He never changes.
