poor

poor. poor! aaaaagh! just the mere mention of that word makes peoples skin crawl. poor. no one wants to be that way. everyone wants food, clothing, shelter, toys (which vary according to age), transportation (in america preferably a car), drink, job, friends, ipods, computers, 1.5 vs 512 internet, pets, sbox 360 (until the next bigger gamer comes along - and then we'll want that one) and on and on and on and on. why do we hate poor? because we find value in wealth. we find personal value in things. but do we find happiness. many would say yes. let me ask you a question. why is it then that we get bored with what we have and always want bigger and badder? because we're still not happy. yet God said blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. is there anything better than that?
