thinking

it's been almost two weeks since i've posted something on this blog. does that mean i haven't been thinking - having random thoughts? nope, not at all. they keep coming. why, i went to lowe's the other day and i wondered whether i should start in the garden section or the plumbing? then a random thought hit me - why not visit both? so i did! didn't buy anything, but at least it proved to me my random thought brain was still engaged. thinking is vitally important. you have to keep your mind going. at least i do. and i don't think i'm that different. that's what's so wonderful about reading. it makes you think. no, i'm not talking about those mindless books that have the same old storyline that keeps us on the edge of our seats. i'm talking about books that say outlandish things. i'm talking about books that say things that just don't seem possible. i'm talking about books that say things that just can't be grasped on the surface. i'm talking about books that allow us to peak into real people's lives and their thoughts. i'm talking about the Bible. people just dismiss it. why? because they don't think about what it says. you know, chew on it, turn it over in your mind, view it from various angles. you know, think about it.
